About Career Development Section

In order to help students identify suitable jobs and secure employment smoothly after graduation, the Office of Research and Development has changed the name of the section from “Practicum and Employment Assistance Section” to “Career Development Section”. In addition to the existing tasks (including practicum/visits, internship, certification incentive, job fairs), the Section also offers the new service of “career counseling”. When the “Student Career Development Counseling Procedure” was passed in notion during the Administrative Meeting held on September 29 2011, the scope of the Section’s operations included career exploration, competence cultivation, employment experience, vocational bridging and so forth for current students. In an effort to help fresh graduates boost their employment intelligence and expanding their interpersonal network, the Procedure was amended on April 12 2012 to incorporate the component of “sector mentor” so as to render the Section’s services more comprehensive.
